SEA NOMADS

SEA NOMADS

The Sea Nomads, Also Know As The Bajau people are known for their extraordinary ability to hold their breath underwater for up to 13 minutes at depths of around 200 feet. This is due to their larger spleens, a genetic adaptation that allows them to stay underwater for extended periods. Their lives are so intertwined with the sea that many Bajau are born, live, and die on their boats. They are skilled fishermen and free-divers, using traditional methods to catch fish and other sea creatures.
